This station is home to Pumper 122 and Salvage 1238.
122:
2000 American LaFrance pumper
1250 GPM Pump/750 gallon tank/20 gallons of foam
This pumper is housed at Station 3, at the corner of Plank and State Roads. This pumper is set up very similarly to the others in the fleet to streamline training and ease of operations. As with the other pumpers, aside from just pumping water, it also carries a rescue tool for use at motor vehicle accidents and most other tools to operate by itself for the first few minutes of a fire.
1238:
1992 Mobile Medical
This was purchased as our salvage truck, which in some areas is also known as an “air and light” unit. This truck carries extra pumps for removing water from a structure, extra fans for removing smoke or fumes and extra lighting. The back of the truck is also used for rehab purposes and is equipped with heat and air conditioning.
This station also hold our 1935 Ford Pumper Antique. This pumper was built by the Rochester Fire Apparatus Company, which was headed by a Past Chief of West Webster for $1,612. Chief Louis Vogt left West Webster to become a career Deputy Chief with the City of Rochester and head of their apparatus and maintenance division. This truck can still be seen being driven in parades and for special occasions.
